The revenue of a hotel is driven by many different parameters: their location, the weather/season, nearby events, airports traffic, etc. In tourist hotels or business hotels, other parameters weigh more heavily. It is crucial for all hotels to be able to predict their revenue as accurately as possible as this allows them to fine-tune their prices, their workforce and their stock.
Juyo contacted us to design a flexible system meant to support analysts to accurately predict occupancy and turnover for all types of hotels. A powerful tool that can combine those data points that make most sense given a specific context.
Create highly flexible analytics tool to predict hotel revenue.
Workshops, design sessions and an interative prototype.
A tool with which hotels build their own dashboards, tailored to their specific needs.
Deliver a visual prototype and support their development team throughout the process.
Running a few workshops allowed us to understand exactly how hotels forecast their revenue. Building this knowledge proved to be of critical success as the parameters driving their forecasts where wildly different. Some used weather forecast data, others relied on inbound flights at a nearby airport or events from a nearby conference centers.
We quickly hacked a first prototype together, which we further refined based on regular demos and feedback. Ultimately, we created a platform that allows hotel teams to get a reliable picture of their future revenues faster and more efficiently.
Design Thinking and Innovation
Initially we looked into existing reporting solutions, but no product on the market proved flexible and user-friendly enough. As a result, we decided to build a tailor-made solution, allowing every users to combine and visualize the data, most important to him.
Using the Juyo system, every user is in control of his/her own workspace, allowing them to easily pull-in data as needed.
Juyo is rapidly becoming ones of the key players on the hospitality analytics market. Their custom approach and deep industry knowledge means they can go head-to-head with existing solutions like power BI and Tableau.
Following our successful engagement, we became Juyo's primary partner for all design and innovation tracks. We coach their nearshore team, help them migrate their solution to the cloud and make sure they respect strict security guidelines.
