Challenge

Heat Me simplifies the scheduling of interventions and all related paperwork for heating technicians. In addition, they also offer professionals specific region-based assignments.

Heat Me asked us to create a mobile application to streamlines their technicians work. This application had to operate without internet connectivity (delayed synchronization) but also respond promptly to assignments based on the users location (real-time).

Approach

Running an end-user workshop showed us just how time constrained most professionals really were. We had to make sure they could perform any task with minimal effort and impediments.


We also quickly recognized 'offline support' to be of crucial importance. As we knew from experience there are a lot of edge-cases to consider, we adopted a careful, phased, roll-out strategy. We ran biweekly demos and identified a set of pilot users to test-drive the software as early as possible.


Ultimately, we produced a robust mobile application that streamlines the workflow for both the technicians and Heat Me.

Solution

The mobile application we created empowers Heat Me to be more informed and 'in control' while also helping the technicians in the field. It allows professionals to manage their own tasks, respond to assignments in real-time and makes sure all the information correctly flows through the system.

Outcome

The Heat Me application was a significant first step in digitising their end-to-end processes. Feedback is consistently integrated to enhance the application's functionality.


We are still working with them to refine upcoming functionality and help them outline a much larger roadmap/vision.
